Meditation in the Backyard

Contrary to the popular mindset, meditation is not about sitting in pretzel position, far away on a mountain top chanting OM all day long. Meditation can be done in variety of ways to fit the modern world. It first begins with having a curious outlook and willingness to experience something new. Meditation is beneficial to health, well-being and overall mental outlook. It restores and replenishes you as well as helps you to connect (or maintain ultimately) to your Spirit /Soul/Consciousness.

A quick and easy way to meditate begins with the intent. No goals or agendas, keep it straight forward and manageable. Don’t force yourself to sit there for five hours (you know what I mean - I’m talking to the extremists reading this blog post) on the first go. Start with five minutes instead and build from there. I’ve heard people want complicated techniques when they can’t master the simple way. Yes, the mind gets in the way with its planning process. The less pressure the easier it will be to let the Mind be out of the way. Don’t force the state of meditation. It’s like dipping a strawberry into warm chocolate - let it gently flow into the silky liquid and then its deliciously coated as it comes out. Take a bite of that sweet strawberry and people are taken into a heavenly state. How easy is that? You too will be in this blissful state as you return from a meditative space.

Recently I was having a nice outing with a Friend and we spoke about transformation, change and the natural push from the Life for evolution. When it happens its like turning soil on the ground, inside out. Change is the constant, as Nature teaches us everyday silently.

My friend mentioned something interesting which I’m sure many can relate to, including myself. He said, “It doesn’t feel good - going through the jam packed transformation, change, healing and growth.” I felt compassion for him, because its true it doesn’t feel great the whole time while moving through a harrowing ordeal. Or being forced to let go the old order or ways/habits/past relationships and surrender to a higher infinitely wise and loving energy called God/Universe/ Soul/Spirit whatever you want to call it. And to recognize and accept that something much larger is at work here to stir the lethargy into a more aware state. To bring more goodness into life than suffering.

Insight through Dream Symbolism “Tornado”

For me Dreams have served as a powerful and valuable vehicle for spiritual evolution, healing and self-awareness over the years. There are many levels to interpret dream symbolism, and thus it can be a useful insight into your life in all areas. Some dream symbolism can simply be debris clearing out.

Time and time again, I’ve see how helpful and even soothing dreaming can be. Some people don’t recall dreams (but can learn to) others recall it but don’t know how to use the insights or possibly don’t take (or have) the time to put aside to investigate.

During a One to One with Clients, I help clients and people gain better insight into their Dreams - so they can utilize their inner guidance, feel empowered they receive from dream symbolism instead of fearing the dreams or brushing them aside as insignificant.

Recently, while napping.. I had a short yet powerful dream.
